Eyebrow raising myth has always surrounded the living legend known as Guy aka Miss Guy for the wild ride of his musical career. There has been speculation about his sexcapades, his appetite for the nitelife, his friendships with a bevy of celebrities and his whirlwind world tours. His fans have fallen into the obsession of knowing what city he is in, with whom and where can they read about it tomorrow.
Cut to the myth in a candle filled studio buried in a seedy neighborhood home to a bizarre mix of mafioso and hipsters. Here you will find the legend and here you will meet the soul, the vulnerable songstress who is now willing to trade in the pyro technics for a quiet confession about his unmendable heart set to a string quartet and acoustic guitars. A prolific musical affair with super star production team, Super Buddha has already brought forth 28 plus tracks for Guy’s solo debut, Take Me To Another World.
Guy and Super Buddha also teamed up to co produce a track for Blondie’s 2006 release, which went Gold. Guy has since gone on to co-write three more tracks for Debbie Harry’s next solo album. Boy George upon hearing several of Guy’s early tracks was inspired to invite Guy to co-write an aptly named track called Stay Away From Pretty Boys.
Guy’s previous musical endeavor, the globe trotting rock band Toilet Boys, were laid to rest after years of touring with bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Motorhead, Blondie, The Ramones, The Damned and The Donna’s. Guy saw this goodbye as a hello to his solo career and an incredible departure from his image as a Toilet Boy.
Pre-order of his yet to be completed debut speaks volumes to the loyal allegiance of fans from Middle America to UK suburbs to the bright lights of Tokyo. Fans have had a taste of Guy’s new material via myspace where they can log on everyday to hear Guy sing his secrets and share with them his life journey to the now. Guy’s lush ballads like, Boy in Red have broken the flood gates but he does not desert his sex music entirely….already Take It Off is the most requested track in gay disco’s where the packed dance floor sings along, “……Beyonce wanna give it to me, I just wanna give it to you. Fuckers wanna f@*k with me, I just wanna f@*k with you.”
