"My Paper-Made Man" - this is a little sneak preview of a song I've been working on with Amy Studt. It's called "My Paper-Made Man". I think it's the most scary-sounding song I've done since, err, "Getting Scared" with Immi on her first album. The fact is, however much I may want you all to think of me as the hard man of electronica, you all know I'm really just a big softie. So although the song's menacing I hope you'll find it enticing too.
"La Familia" is a song by Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn, who lives in Oregon. I've been a fan of Mirah's since hearing one of her songs late night on XFM about five years ago - and here I am remixing it specially for her forthcoming remix album.
"Elephant In The Room" is a song I've co-written with Richard Walters, who lives in Oxford. I gave him a CD of the backing track. Later, he came in to work with me on something else. Just before he was about to leave, I asked him if he'd written anything for the "Elephant In the Room". He went into the vocal booth. What you're hearing is his first take, with just a couple of fix-ups in the outro. A great, great singer.
