About me:

..ACE Vision Statement..
The Achieving a College Education (ACE) Program's primary goal is to actively recruit students from the Phoenix & Tempe Union High Schools in hopes of increasing the number of students seeking a bachelor's degree. By increasing the number of students from urban schools, inner city communities are guaranteed a continuous source of competent leaders, educators and role models. The ACE Program's ultimate vision is to create a competitive vision and a competitive environment for all inner city students by leveling the playing field through educational opportunities at the community college level.

..The ACE Program.. has been in existence in Maricopa since 1988 with the first cohort of students starting that summer at South Mountian and Glendale Community College.
Students are recruited during their sophomore year and then enrolled during their juniors and seniors concurrently taking college courses while still attending high school. throughout these two years, ACE students meet during the regular summer sessions and every Saturday during the fall and spring semesters. ACE students enroled at one of the Maricopa Community Colleges are considered college students with all the corresponding rights, responsibilities, privilages and benefits.
The Program is designed to help students make a smooth transition from high school through community college on to university and completion of the bachelors' degree. Upon graduation from high school an ACE student may have earned up to 24 transferable college credits.

..ACE Value Statement.. The ACE Program is committed to seeking outstanding students that have voluntarily expressed first generation students, low income, and that may impede or prevented futrue educational opportunites. Maintaining a dependable and secure environment in which to teach our students has always served as the highest priority, not only for the ACE Program, but for the community as a whole. Through ACE we believe that commitment of high morals and ethical chracacteristics are as important as developing a strong academic background. We strongly believe and support a commiment to character building as a critical component of the ACE program. .. .. .. ..
