Gweido are an alternative, indie rock band from the Isle of Wight, producing a large buzz both locally and around the country. Tipped as one of the hottest acts 2008 they have put in all the hard ground-work of a true Rock and Roll band, trying to break through playing legendary venues such as Hipshaker, The Joiner’s, Wedgewood Rooms and The Clapham Grand as well as going down a storm at previous Isle of Wight Festivals being the only unsigned band to play the new big top supporting feeder and the music. This band take their music to the next level with great catchy songs and powerful melodies, and whenever these boys play heads always turn. Convinced of putting their mark on the British music scene with their debut album "This is it" the future looks very promising for Gweido.
