Greetings and blessings. Welcome to the home of the artist and producer, Greg Ward, aka 'General G'.
Greg Ward, born on Long Island, NY, has been on the music industry scene since 1992, first making his debut in Newark, NJ with funk-hip-hop band, Earl's Loaf, featuring Geremy Jasper(The Fever, indie label recording group out of NYC). Greg moved through different groups before making his way to VA in 1995. There he met and studied with record industry engineers and songwriting gurus at James Madison University. In 1997, Ward met up with industry heavy-hitter, Chris Whitley, keyboardist/producer(Stable Roots Productions, Culture, Corey Harris), and Iron Lion-songwriter, vocalist, producer, CEO(GRO Records). Ward began touring with Stable Roots, backing many hot artists over the years. After a decade of backing big name artists such as The Itals, The Abyssinians, Junior Marvin(the Wailers), Ward set out to focus primarily on writing, producing and performing.
Greg Ward, aka General G, is promoting original roots-conscious flavor, and is available for full band performances as well as acoustic shows.
Original beats/tracks are available for licensing and sale as well.
If you would like to book General G aka Greg Ward for a performance, or purchase beats/tracks for licensing, please contact us for details.

Check out some reviews of the Greg with his original band, the GWP...
We were so extremely pleased with The Greg Ward Project! Our party was so perfect and I credit the GWP for making it the best we ever had!! They were very professional and the music they played, classic reggae hits and original tunes thrilled every one. We are still receiving calls telling us how great they were! We definitely will hire them again in the future! Thank you Greg!

I really enjoyed planning the event with Greg. They were very accomodating and made my pool party very different than having the usual DJ. In addition to providing the DJ music, he also provided music for me before, and after they were finished playing. Lastly, we had a storm but they were able to set their equipment back up again and provide more entertainment simply because he wanted to make sure that I had my money's worth. Get them if their schedule will fit yours!

Greg was a wonderful professional to work with during the planning process! Then the night of the performance the band came early, set up quickly, and had great atmospheric lighting to add to their sets. Their positive energy and musical talent made the show a unique and memorable experience for the audience. And it was the perfect way to spend the evening, enjoying the night and relaxing to their tunes. We were blown away with the sound, vibe, and energy of the GWP! Thanks guys for making our night one we'll remember forever.
