Gwyl Gerddorol .
Wedi ei chynnal ym Mlaenau Ffestiniog, un o gadarnleoedd yr Iaith Gymraeg yng Nghymru, a thref a leolir ar ucheldir Eryri, tua 1000 o droedfeddi uwchlaw’r môr.... Mae’r dref yn eistedd fel rhan o’r mynydd, a mae’r tomeni llechi o gwmpas y dre fel Machu Pichu. Yn ôl Gwyn Thomas, un o feirdd mwyaf Ffestiniog, mae Blaenau fel "Breichled o dref ar asgwrn o graig."

Held at Blaenau Ffestiniog, a slate-mining town in the heartland of the Welsh Language in Wales. The town sits at a 1000ft above sea level in the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountain Range, and it seems like its sitting as part of the mountain... and the surrounding slate tips reminds people of Machu Pichu.

Mae’r Wyl yn arddangos goreuon y Sin Roc Gymraeg a Chymreig Cymru, wrth lwyfanu cymysgedd eang o gerddoriaeth megis reggae, dub, techno, hip-hop, rock, funk, goth, emo, punk. Un o’r pethau sy’n gneud yr wyl mor unigryw ydi bod bandiau newydd ac amlwg, lleol a chenedlaethol, yn cael llwyfan ochr yn ochr yn yr Wyl. Pethau eraill yw ysbryd gymunedol yr wyl, ei naws anffurfiol, ei lleoliad ysgytwol, a’r ffaith fod popeth yn cael ei ddarparu am ddim.

The festival stages the best of the Welsh Language and Welsh scene, with a huge veriety of music styles from reggae, dub, techno, hip-hop, funk, emo, goth, punk. One of the things that makes the festival so unique is that it stages new and established, local and national bands side by side. The other special things are the festival’s community spirit and informal nature, it’s location among the towering slate tips, and the fact that everything is provided for free.
