I grew up in Oregon. My mother sold me to pay for her drugs. I am adopted or bought. My father was a big game hunter. Driving a cammo log truck.. listening to Jonny Cash. Yeah! He was a hick. He passed on in '91. Mom in 2000. My mother is a dificult part of my past I deal with every day.
I got marked by a bear on a bow hunt. I have slept in hammocks in the jungles of Hawaii, speared some boars. I carried rocks to the sweat house for sacred Native American gatherings for four years on every sunday. Had my vision quest at 17. Earned my pipe. When the bowl broke. I took the time to go to Arizona to return it.
I had to attend 13 funerals before I turned 21. All the deaths where different. Dui, sucide, cancer, strokes, heart attacks, burn victim, bar fight, war, taking there own life, and so on. I feel I have a strong power. That most people cannot grasp. I dont know its a third eye or repeated vissions. It gives me headaces though.
I have spent many years on the streets. Once in my teens. Rather sleep outside than go home and get my ass kicked. Sometimes I would get hunted down. I hope you never know what its like to get hunted. Then next after a divorce. I feel that this time there was a lot of good. I helped alot. I wasnt homeless cause of drugs or abuse. Just had know family. There was some lonely winters. Exept this time not death. My exes took the kids for five years and vanished. I'm off the streets now, don't know how, really. Got my kids back. Was a single dad of three; daughter that's nine, two boys that are seven and six.
Plus soon to be marriage.
I seek balance in my life. I tought myself to read and write when I was on the streets. I write poetry that draws on my real life experiences - raw. Poetry is love of the heart.
I have been beaten, sold, attacked, robbed, raped --and through it all, it made me stronger. I have been barred over the back of the head, cow booted between the eyes, smilied in the dome.. Still standing. If you're going to crack someone with one, do it more than once. Don't turn your back and give yourself props! I'll bite you in the balls and bring you down! Three time gold glove. Once was just not enough. It's legal to hit people!
My children and nephew are all the blood I have left in this world. I provide, care, and cook for them.
I work as a supervisor for a demolition construction. I get payed to blow shit up!
