Sounds Like
Gypsy, then perhaps a bit like: Jewel, Dido, Shania Twain, Maria McKee, Natalie Imbruglia, The Sundays, Suzanna Hoffs, The Cardigans & Emmylou Harris.
Singer-songwriter, Gypsy with her 5-piece band "The Merry Mystics" create a unique sound of folk, pop and rock stemming from Gypsy's rich musical upbringing of Americana roots music. Her songs channel her deep life experiences through poetic lyrics and lilting, beautiful vocals. Growing up in a musical family, Gypsy wrote her first song at the age of five after hearing many of Mom and Dad's living room "jam sessions" with the likes of Tag Lambert (lead guitarist for Bob Wills), and others. Gypsy was inspired to pursue the life of a musical artist after hearing her Mom's recordings on the local country stations in Arizona. Also, Gypsy's uncle Don Rollins wrote the smash hit, "The Race Is On" recorded by George Jones, Ricky Nelson and The Grateful Dead. Writing is in her blood and deep in her heart.
After attending ASU majoring in theatre arts, Gypsy was accepted into The National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York. She then moved to Greenwich Village and began singing at local clubs and open mics, then moved to L.A. to pursue a career in music and film. She continued to write and record songs, and eventually joined the pop trio, Angels of Ecstasy with Kelly Sullivan and Astrid Plane (formerly of Animotion). She and Kelly went on to form Zuzu's Petalz, performing their music in LA clubs. Shortly thereafter, Gypsy went solo.
Gypsy's has recently released her 2nd album entitled “There’s Still Hope”. That and her debut album, "Heart of a Traveling Wind" are flavored with the guest performances of many talented musicians, including Ed Tree (Spencer Davis), Martyn LeNoble (Jane's Addiction), Tony Sales (David Bowie), Rick Shlosser (Van Morrison) and David Palmer (Rod Stewart). Also, Gypsy has performed with Juan Nelson of Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals. Gypsy’s influences include Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Loreena McKennett, Jewel, Marley and others.

Gypsy's Band of Merry Mystics
Rich Sheldon (Guitar/Vocals): Rich grew up in a small coal mining town outside of Pittsburgh, PA. He has opened for Sweetwater at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano and performed at the Millpond Traditional Music Festival along with David Lindley of Jackson Browne, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, and Chris Hillman of the Byrds. He has appeared on-stage with members of the Young Dubliners, Cubensis, Vinyl, Shana Fire and Monkeygrass. Rich has been lending his guitar and vocal talents to his partner, Gypsy for over three years, in addition to fronting his own band.
Fran McConville (Guitar): Fran brings his clean & precise electric leads to us from Boston, MA. His jazz background brings a fresh sound to the Heart of a Traveling Wind band!
Scott Versele (Bass/Vocals): Born in Detroit and raised in the school of rock, Scott has traveled the world playing his own music acoustically and with his former band, opening for Alice Cooper. Scott joined Gypsy's band as the bass player and backing vocalist 2 1/2 years ago.
Eric Dudinsky (Drums): Born and raised in a Canadian city bordering Motown (Detroit), Eric developed his initial passion for music at a very early age and picked up his first set of drum sticks at age nine. Inspired by Detroit's rich musical history and its multi-cultural scene, Eric sought the instruction of a well-known local percussionist, Carl Harris (music instructor at the University of Windsor). Eric has played on the same bill as Canadian alt. hard-rockers Crawl (Excited Records), alt.-goth band, The Tea Party (EMI Music Canada), Nigerian world beat artist Sonny Okosuns and his band, Stern's Music U.S.A., and many others. Since moving to California in 1998, Eric has played drums and recorded with the Brit-Pop band "The Bang", L.A.'s "Break up Sex", and hip hop artist "Spice 1". For the past two years, Eric has been lending his talents to Gypsy.
Aneke (Keyboards, Sax, Flute): Blurb coming soon.

Hello Gypsy, Glad you loved the blog, I felt the same as you. check my blogs daily for inspiration. welcome as my new friend.YOU ALWAYS HAVE ENOUGH TIME IF YOU USE IT WISELY
Your dilemma goes deeper than having a shortage of time, it's basically a problem of priorities.
Most people leave undone those things that should be done, while they do things that they shouldn't be doing.
Set priorities for your goals. A major part of successful living lies in your ability to put first things first. Most major goals are not achieved because people put second things first.
Is what your doing getting you closer to your objectives? Anything that is wasted effort represents wasted time.
