The Gypsy Blue Acoustic Review is a six piece band from Fort Lauderdale, FL dedicated to playing and preserving the timeless music known as Gypsy Jazz, which was made popular in the 1930s and 1940s by the famous and influential Belgium born gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt (1910-1953).
(To learn more about Django go to www.djangobooks.com)
The band consists of 2 acoustic guitars clarinnete, violin, female vocals and an upright bass. Our goal is to audibly transport the listener to another place and time and to bring this great music to people who may not to be familiar with it.
"It's very fun, exciting, and challenging music."
The band has recently been wowing audiences throughout South Florida and is currently working on a full length CD.
