Gypsy Brown was born out of frustration that there was never enough percussion in funk music today . The whole concept of Gypsy Brown was to create a funk style of music that incorporates classic Afro/Latin grooves and sounds....
Elvis Aljus being a percussionist/Drummer/ producer in his own right has performed/recorded with various artists that include the likes of:
Bamboos, Breakestra, Joe Bataan, Cookin on 3 Burners, Mo Horizons, Dj Spinner and Mark De Clive lowe just to mention a few…....
The band name ‘Gypsy Brown’ was chosen on a road trip , as was the first collaborated session date that was to become the ‘Life is a Trip’ session!
The first single not having been released yet was passed around to a few DJ’s and was receiving a lot of praise so the Gypsy Brown album was on it’s way....
The band members consist of the various artists that have recorded for the album, a collective if you like of drums, bass, guitar, keys, vocals, percussion and horns, all brought together to create that Gypsy Brown sound.......
