ABOUT THE BAND:
Gypsy Relic is a Cleveland-based band that makes music from the heart and for your soul. Together for ten years, the trio writes original lyrics and fuses a musical style that is all their own. Cleveland-area fans are offered an exciting sound that reflects hometown pride and deep roots in rock n’ roll. With influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead, to Jane’s Addiction and A Tribe Called Quest, they are the bastard step-child of a town enamored with dead idols and cover bands.
Blending funk, blues, jazz, and hip-hop, guitarist and vocalist Dann Jasko, bassist Brad Thompson and drummer Chris Szuch boast an extensive list of songs that appeal to a wide audience. Gypsy Relic has played a variety of Cleveland venues, including Peabody's, Wilbert's, Burning River Fest 2008, and a sold-out CD release party at The Cambridge Room at the House of Blues.
THE MUSIC:
Burn On Big River (2000) is a raw take on what is now a more refined and mature vision. That vision comes through in the band's two EPs: Studio Sessions (2007) and the Lava Room Recordings (2008). Paycheck to Paycheck (2009), Gypsy Relic's first full-length studio album, captures the efforts of songwriting team Jasko and Thompson, featuring revamped older tunes as well as new sounds. As listeners will hear, the album covers a spectrum of moods and styles, from the intensity of “Feast or Famine,” to the lyrical reflectiveness of “May Never.” Produced by Dustin Mapes of Cleveland's Lava Room Recording Studio, who has worked with artists such as Mushroomhead and The Jack Fords, Paycheck to Paycheck marks a new era in Gypsy Relic's musical timeline.

YO YO YO!!! what it be like? anyways gotta lot of cool shows and events coming up in the WATTS camp that we would love to share with you. our next show is on friday Oct. 23 in Barberton, the "magic city" at the Innfield located on the corner of 14th and wooster. it will be $5 were playing with a pretty cool band called Slinkweed check them out. also check out the Innfield they have pretty good specials and food, not to mention breakfast till 4am fridays and saturdays. very good!!! the next big show will be saturday Nov. 21st at the Outpost in Kent and it will be huge. its the Heights Band cd release show for there debut disk "WE ARE THE HEIGHTS BAND". the line up for this show is mega and you dont want to miss it.
