In 2003, Lorinda Graham-Van Newkirk brought the concept of jeweled, cowhide flip-flops to reality in the Western retail market. Seemingly overnight, the once unseen combination was on the shelves of retailers around every corner and Gypsy Soule® flip-flops became the catalyst for an industry trend.
Gypsy Soule originated from Lorinda's parent company, Van Glow, which she founded shortly before the flip-flop line made its debut. Gypsy Soule® products can now be found online and in stores across the country, with a line that includes footwear, jewelry and clothing.
Success didn't happen overnight, though. Lorinda's experience began years ago as a youth on her family's ranch in California. She founded her first company at age 21, although her entrepreneurial spirit began at an even earlier age. Her experience has run the gamut of the retail industry, from design work to the warehouse.
And now, Gypsy Soule® has welcomed long-time designer Amy Moorhouse to its team. Like Lorinda, Amy's passion for the western retail industry stems from real-life ranch experience. Amy comes from a Texas ranching family, and grew up on the legendary Pitchfork Ranch, where her father was the ranch manager for over 35 years.
Amy established her retail experience working for companies such as Smith Brothers, Cinch, Cruel Girl, Triple Creek, Vogt and the National Cowgirl Museum Hall of Fame, along with starting the original Gypsy Cowgirl® Brand. She has held positions as a brand manager, designer, market researcher and design consultant, among others.
Lorinda and Amy plan to build upon the core of Gypsy Soule — "products for women, designed by women." The collaboration began with friendship and a mutual work experience. Both bring various pieces of experience to the design table and plan to bring fresh, new items to the mainstream and western retail industry.
Much more than just a shoe or a piece of jewelry, Gypsy Soule® products express an emotion. To offer products that lead, rather than follow; define elements of personality; and make women feel good about themselves is the goal.
Come with us and unleash your SOULE.

Gypsy Soule
Gypsy Soule Legacy
I recently got an amazing pair of boots to review on our site from Gypsy Soule. These are not your regular boots, they are handcrafted to bring your feet a totally unique wearing experience.
If you are looking for something unique and something that will help you stand out from the crowd, then Gypsy Soule is for you! From studs, animal print, zippers, and fur, you can find them on glam embellished Gypsy Soule sheepskin lined suede boots.
These aren’t your regular, plain old boots though! They have captured the attention of retailers and celebrities everywhere. Celebrities Kris Jenner Kardashian mom, Miranda Lambert, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Love Hewitt are proud owners of Gypsy Soule products. I imagined them being a perfect boot for the Sundance Film Festival, where you need both comfort and style, while also braving the snow and cold!
The boots come in other patterns, and the company also offers some fun flip flops and clothing. My summer loving souls would be happy in their flip flops for sure! Luckily, the boots are made to help keep the feet toasty warm in the coming winter months.

I was at the Dallas Market in March and purchased an Ed Hardy head stall and breast collar for my daughter. She qualified for the North Texas High School Rodeo Association Finals, held at the Cowtown Coliseum in late May, and this was a gift for her being so dedicated during the year and being in the finals.
She loves the tack, and is so proud of it. At every rodeo that she participates in she receives countless compliments and she enjoys being able to say that it was custom designed for her.
Sincerely,
Mariann
