About me: Gypsytown Music lives tangibly in the green green pines of the Sierra Nevada foothills near Tahoe, primarily in old gold/ghost towns. These towns are chock-full of characters with many musical and artistic talents and we want to make things happen about it. Or something like that. We are a collaboration of artists, not a label. Music that soothes souls and liberates truth is pretty rad. Gypsytown is also a collaboration of music-makers that have heart and want to share their art for beneficial reasons to the world. We hope to lead benefit shows that can make money or organize volunteers for direct benefit of those in need. Those we seek to help are all over the globe, and some in our own backyard or on our streets. The music "scene" can grow old, and it feels unnatural to care about such fleeting superficialness when there is sooo much else going on in the world. Things that art can benefit. Ways that music can save the world, or little parts of it, one voice at a time.
