GYRE- noun. 1. circular or spiral form; a vortex. 2. a circular course or motion. 3. A band from Chicago that resonates with the post-hardcore sound and the future of rock.
GYRE are the punk, hardcore, and metal kids who grew up and learned to play their instruments and write songs. There is an evolutionary course from fast rhythms and breakdowns to a variety in structure and texture of sounds while still maintaining the foundations. GYRE has achieved this on their debut, “THE VEINS OF EVERYONE.”
Taking their cues from past luminaries like Quicksand, Refused, and Into Another, GYRE has become the new sound to crossover the scenes. An amalgamation of underground angst and mature skill, this is a band’s band who are on the verge to spiral out of any label forced on their music.
“THE VEINS OF EVERYONE” is just that- a resurrection of feeling and power that courses through your insides and forces you to listen. Energy, aggression, group choruses, frailty, and introspection all add to the tumult that is GYRE. HOUSE OF BLUES, HOUSE OF BLUES!! Because of an AWESOME Made‡Avail family, the Metro went extremely well on Jan. 3rd. Now, the House of Blues is knocking on our door. Inept is headlining their first show there and they've asked us to take a place in the killer lineup. We've very little time to make sure that everyone possible KNOWS about this show...we need everyone to do their part. First of all, in coming to the show.
