Helios (Logical Light Productions) is Raphael Pepi, a San Francisco native and resident DJ @ Synchronize that has been producing & Djing music for 10 years. He first discovered Trance music in the mid 90's through the experimental years of raves that had all types of electronic music from Drum&Bass to Happy Hardcore. Armed with a degree in audio engineering & a passion for sound, Helios creates music as well as mastering, production, 3d sound mixing, & live sound engineering. Helios's music draws allot of influence from 60's and 70's psychedelic rock, which filled his ears since before he could walk. His music ranges from chillout to full on psytrance, and tends to be on the funky morning side, with building progressions and ripping tripped out leads. As a Dj, Helios has played many parties in the San Francisco Bay Area and Abroad, including Synchronize (Resident DJ), the Legendary Gemini Gatherings (03-08), Love Fest 2008, Universo Parallello 2007 (br), Blue Cube Surround Sound 2006, Surround Sound @ Burning Man 03-05, Wellspring 2004 and various beach parties from Ko Phan Ghan (tl) to Trancoso (br). Helios has been fortunate enough to play or work with the following musicians: E-Jekt, Cosmosis, Earthling, Penta, Mubali, Naked Tourist, Deeper in Zen, CPU, Jirah, Pure Pressure Xerox & Illumination, Ocelot, Quadra, Silicon Sound, Chromatone, Random, AMD, M-Theory, Neuromotor, Hyper Frequencies, Konflux, Sun Byte, & The Loomii. Working with Random, He is pioneering a new hybrid Dark/Funky sound under the project name MegaDrop. Look for many more releases to come!
