Sounds Like
Habitforming. Like the sound of the Center collapsing in on itself, sucking vortex of gravity bringing life and death to the innescapable conclusion at Concord like speed......over a 4/4 beat.
Emerging from San Francisco in late 2002, Habitforming has been steadily amassing fans along the way due to its extremely dynamic set and volatile live show. The band continues to move forward Despite several lineup changes (drummers and their mysterious lawnmower accidents) over the years, always managing to draw more and more people out to see them with each performance.
As for the deadly sound: The band’s articulately crafted song writing and production speak for itself. Habitforming's sound varies from slow, crawling, melodic overtones straight from the Shire to high tension walls of elaborately layered hymns straight from the majesty of rock. The band uses a melting pot of different textures, time signatures, swanky grooves, loving dreamscapes, 3 part harmonies, bombing guitar riffs, and a wide array of household chemicals to craft their sonic foundations. Habitforming's live show and sound is a clever blend of all these elements.
After a long needed break and the new addition of Attiss Ngoval (of Triple Cobra), the foursome are returning for a wave of summer shows in 2009. Contrary to popular belief, this is, really happening!

Mission Statement: Habitforming is intent on warming the hearts of millions through lucrative real-estate deals, hefty amounts of theme park touring, the wide use of motivational tapes, and an over-abundance of cheap petroleum products that are just plain hooked on a feeling....
We look forward to meeting you, if we have not already!
Sincerely, The Cartel
