Greetings and salutations! My name is Trilian and how I came 1200 miles from Liverpool, Nova Scotia to Buffalo, NY is quite a story, and I am quite a little guy. I was rescued from a foodless aquarium in a shed and made part of a Great Rat Train where many dedicated rattie lovers moved over 100 rats from New Brunswick across Canada and down into the U.S. We are all a bunch of very grateful and lucky fur people! I love food!
I am currently living with my brothers, Rilian and Caspian, in one part of the house. We are new here, so we are being quarantined. In a couple of weeks, I heard that we are going to be newtered...I think that must be some archaic ritual with a salamander like creature or something. I'm not sure and neither are my brothers. Then we can meet the others....I hear there are ladies!!! Woo-hoo! I bet they will be impressed by my salamander! I love food!
I hear there is a big family waiting for us down the hall! There is Julian's old roomie, Nero....there is Milton from Chicago, Newton, their Colony Defender, Arya the Explorer and Vanquisher of Snakes, Cassandra "MamaDoodles" Rodentdoodle and her boys Ajax, Hector, and No!No! Nestor, and the naked Duras sisters, Lursa and B'Etor. I love the foods!!!
Our dearly departed brothers are Julian, Octavian, Hadrian, and Trajan. Julian was our hairless pink pride friend who loved everyone, two legs or four. Trajan was an alpha's alpha. He was impressive both in stature and charisma, Octavian was a great warrior rat who valiantly defended the house against newcomers, much to the Two Legs dismay. Hadrian was the first rat who really is the reason we are here and have all that we do. He had such a sweet, loving disposition, and will forever leave a rat shaped hole in our hearts. Hadrian was bought for $1.00 as a feeder. There is a lesson in there somewhere.

Hi Trillian! Thanks for adding me and my boys! I'm amazed by some of the things we have in common, such as: You know an Octavian, and one of the dumbo boys here is named Octavian, but everyone calls him "Tavy." You know a Julian, and one of the boys here is named Julius. (A royal Caesar theme.) Julius is called "Jules," and his full name is "Jules" Julius Winnfield-Caesar. The other two boys are "Vince" Vincent Vega (name that film!) and "Maüs." There used to be three ratties in the "old guard," and they are now at the rainbow bridge...Gregor Samsa, "Gus" Augustus Caesar, and "Boo" Buscemi. We are just now beginning the "Redwell" series, and have only just yesterday been "introduced" to Cluny The Scourge. We ALL love Peas, and there is a blog up at the MySpace page called "Peas on Earth," which are mock-lyrics to a song, made into a rattie version. Jules, Vince, Tavy and Maüs agree that, of all the things we have in common, Peas are the most important.
