    Stew Simpson 32, born Newcastle upon Tyne, Vocal and guitars Danny Hart 20, born Carlisle Cumbria, Violin. Featuring Mike France on fretless bass. Hadrian's Union are the product of Carlisle folk and blues club, both regular players in various band in Cumbria and further a field (Scotland, Newcastle, London) Danny and Stew decided to work together on a solo project of singer/songwriter Stew Simpson. Finding out that they gelled extremely well they became good friends and decided to continue with a mutually beneficial merging of sounds. Folk Roots, Bluegrass and Punk sensibilities combine to make a combination of raw power and gentle melody. This Juxtaposition of meaningful lyrics and passionate playing have been compared to the likes of 'Show of Hands' and 'Mumford and Sons'. The Hadrian's Union sound is often helped along by the 6 stringed Fretless Bass sound of Cumbria's own Mike France. Having only formed in 2010 Hadrian's Union have already played festivals and have supported BBC Radio 2 folk musician of the year Tom McConville. The debut album 'Trapped in time' is now available
