Over a decade ago, the core of Háf Bitten Moon came together and began creating and performing original music in the Midwest. Their musical journey began with influences like Led Zeppelin, Jimmi Hendrix, and Deep Purple culminating in a tight Hard Rock sound. After paying their dues on the Midwest club circuit they opened for CCR. That performance led to supporting Jackal, AC/DC, Rush, Quiet Riot, Ted Nugent, Heart, Styx, and John Mellancamp. Now Sean Finley (Vocals, Guitar), Mike Kurtz (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Matt Shane (Bass, Backing Vocals, Guitar) along with Jimmy Fernandez (Drums, Backing Vocals), are continuing their musical quest. As Hard Rock becomes Thrash Metal and Country Music becomes Classic Rock, Háf Bitten Moon’s style finds itself firmly at the apex of musical trends. With more recent influences such as Trace Adkins, Big & Rich, and Montgomery Gentry, Háf Bitten Moon’s music has been called Country – Metal or Hard Southern Rock. They call it Rock Hard Country!
The Háf Bitten Moon debut CD was released in 2006 by Country Metal Music (BMI) with digital distribution through Apple’s iTunes and physical distribution to hundreds of retail outlets followed by strong performances at The Illinois State Fair. Háf Bitten Moon has also performed at many different venues such as The Fort Wayne Katrina Relief Benefit, The House of Blues, Cubby Bear, and Park West. Háf Bitten Moon has been featured on several radio stations throughout the Midwest and Canada and will be taping a TV special in April 2007. Touring throughout the country Háf Bitten Moon continues to build their musical legacy and an increasingly strong following with web membership reaching from the Midwest into Europe and Asia. .---------------------------------------
