The international popstar Haiducii (Paula Mitrache) will stay in Japan from 19 to 29 September 2010. She became famous worldwide in 2004 by the song "Dragostea Din Tei", a cover of romanian group O-Zone single. The singer will visit the Country of the Rising Sun for about ten days, reaching some of the most important places. Her music albums topped the charts in many countries and sold, only in Japan, more than one million copies. The song “Dragostea Din Tei” was translated into all world languages, including Japanese. «I listened with great pleasure even the japanese version of my song» - she said - «and I am very happy that my music has been an opportunity for encounter amongst different cultures geographically so distant. This journey in Japan is for me a great occasion to know better a charming country ». Haiducii was born in Bucarest (Romania) but lives in Italy. She has published many records and gives lot of concerts around the world. Since several years she also deals with important social activities. She is president of a Cultural Association that promotes peace, racial integration, cooperation and peaceful exchange amongst peoples and different cultures. She is also honorary counsellor of romanian Senator Viorel Badea, for which she operates as responsible for relations with representatives of local and national authorities and non-governmental organizations of Puglia (Italy). During his stay in Japan, Haiducii will meet authorities dealing with international cooperation. .
