LOST HEROES CD NOW AVAILABLE FROM MARTIAN RECORDS(Exeter), MARTIAN RECORDS(Taunton) and HERE
Lost Heroes - dedicated to rifleman Daniel Coffey.
Recorded at The Music Mill in Newton Abbott
In aid of Operation Braveheart supporting injured soldiers and their families.
All was quiet in the van after a successful first gig.
When gradually, everyone began to hear a strange whistling sound.
Helen thought it was Luke…
Luke thought it was the wind…
Dave thought it was the engine....
Rachael turned to Elliott who was sound asleep and whistling peacefully and melodically.
Born and bred in the depths of the Shire Hailing Star are an Exeter based band who strive to push their musical talent and expand their ever increasing fan base.
Formed within the last year what Hailing Star lack in age they make up for in pure rhythmical talent. Tracks such as “Secret Enemy” epitomize their sound – a car crash melody of heavy metal vocals juxtaposed beautifully against toe tapping chorus lines with allow a broad range of interest.
The 4 piece band comprises of lead singer and guitarist Elliott, rhythm guitarist Luke, bassist Helen and drummer Matt.
The band as a whole (both within their music and image) ooze the addictive rawness of a band who are sure to explode into the big time, all the while supported by their dedicated fan base. Helen's sultry tones and laid back style is sure to hit a chord amongst the male followers whilst lead singer Elliott’s dark black locks and charismatic vocals alongside his stage presence will certainly come in handy for publicity for their inevitable rise to fame! The pure masculinity of drummer Matt (who’s built more like a rugby player than a musician) and cheeky boyish charm of beanie clad guitarist Luke means all bases are covered – with plenty of heavy riffs to keep a mosh pit pulsating until the last note of an inevitable encore.
Having already released a successful charity single (“Lost Heroes – in support of Operation Braveheart) and with an album in the pipeline the band are drawing upon inspiration such as Iron Maiden and Trivium to propel there music forward. Sharing the stage with names such as Chasing Jade, Re Offenders and Broken Faith has helped the band develop the strength of their live set.
In true old school style the purchase of a beat up old van laden with amps and equipment saw them embark on a UK tour last April covering the width of the country. Read their tour blog to get an amusing insight into their life on the road…watch this space and drop them some love!

lol its pretty small. 50 people would have it looking packed. Last time we played there we were with Blackout,Brabazon and Synbiote, turn out wasn't great. The metal scene in Barnstaple has pretty much died now :(. Too many shitty indie and Pop Punk bands! sorry to put a bit of a downer on your gig lol.
haha yeah we'll second that! just seen your playing at the underground in Barnstaple. We played there a few times in our old metal band. Acoustics there are horrible lol.
