With over 20 years of experience in hair artistry, Egypt Lawson brings a multitude of experience to her business Hairline Illusions, LLC. At Hairline Illusions (www.hairlineillusions.com), Egypt Lawson creates some of the most natural-looking hair alternatives available on the market today. Made from 100% human hair, the wigs that Egypt Lawson makes require each strand of hair to be individually knotted onto a cap using a special technique that makes the wigs look completely natural. Egypt Lawson has been featured in some of the most prestigious beauty and trade shows in the world, including International Beauty Show and the HBA Global Expo. Not only is Egypt Lawson a skilled hair designer, but she is also a successful businesswoman and was a Project Enterprise Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2004 and 2007. She was also and featured on CNN “Your Money”. As co-owner and President of Hairline Illusions, she has many responsibilities on her plate, although that has not stopped her from taking on several other projects.
Hair That Cares, Inc. is a non-profit organization launched by Egypt and Ken Lawson that offers grants for medical wigs to people suffering from hair loss as the result of chemotherapy or Alopecia Areata. Many insurance companies do not cover the purchase of medical wigs, and because of the special materials and techniques it takes to manufacture a quality medical wig, many people are unable to afford them. Through Hair That Cares, Egypt Lawson has made it possible for those people who cannot afford medical wigs to look and feel better about themselves.
Another of Egypt Lawson’s projects is GoddessHaven.org, an online support group for women. As a firm believer in self-empowerment, Egypt Lawson donates at least 20 hours a month to meet with and provide guidance for the members of GoddessHaven.org. In addition to Goddess Haven, Egypt Lawson launched Fashion-Beauty.com in 1998. As the first site to promote up and coming models and entertainers free of charge, Fashion-Beauty.com is a source of inspiration, as well as one of the Internet’s leading sources for beauty and fashion advice, industry news, and more.

GRANTS FOR MEDICAL RELATED HAIR LOSS
NEW YORK - Hairline Illusions™ today announced 20 partial grants to be rewarded to hair loss victims for Lace Cranial Hair Prosthesis “Medical Wigs”. The grants are awarded to men, women and children - Cancer Survivors undergoing chemotherapy. These grants will also match funds from aid foundations and insurance claims that will enable victims to receive a Hairline Illusions™ Cranial Hair Prosthesis at no cost. Applicants must submit a Doctor's Note or Prescription for Cranial Hair Prosthesis by June 28th, 2008. These grants are awarded right away.
The Hairline Illusions Grant Program was created from the concept when people look good, they have a tendency to feel good. The hair loss can be a crisis that's hard for many to take. The right wig can make all the difference in the world – boosting self-esteem.
We at Hairline Illusions realize that patients suffering from hair loss may not be able to obtain high quality wigs for hair replacement.
