Hai is someone who is constantly broadening his horizons and his view on the world, and that immediately comes through when you listen to his music.
From the breadth of his advanced musical compositions, you would be forgiven for not quite believing that this is one 18 year old multi-instrumentalist writing, playing and recording all his own music in his attic.
The dark, philosophical lyric content compliments the complexity of the music. Whilst one side of Hai's brain is regurgitating Thesauruses into theories about everything from life to love, the other side is utilizing the age-old "rules" of music that most other studious musicians will simply adhere to. Hai uses the "rules" as "tools" to push the songs in unexpected and original ways, whilst always obeying the only real rule; If it sounds good, it is good.
Although Hai is still early into what looks to be an extremely promising career, the rest of the music industry is crumbling around him, so the aim for now is to stay away from record labels, while they learn to adapt to the advent of downloads. So, if you like what you hear on this page, check back soon for news of an internet release of Hai Saint's debut EP, which we can promise will not be funding Simon Cowell's new car.
Session Work
Hai is an experienced 6 String Bass Player in a variety of styles including Rock, Jazz Fusion and Classical, and is currently playing Bass in Sean Redmond's band, as well as playing bass and producing for singer/songwriter Luke Rees and rock guitarist Harry Peirson.
Gigs
Hai is currently only set up for playing acoustic gigs, but is also on the lookout for musicians to play his songs with him in the future.
