Born and raised in San Gabriel Valley/Los Angeles, the members of HAIVYN are perfecting their craft. A Rock Band with a female vocalist, Haivyn has gone from performing small clubs across the Los Angeles region to being sought out by some prestigious rock venues & events. Shows are captivating, both sultry and intense so eyes are locked on to the stage for the full set. Each piece is structured like a storm with climax and digression, but never losing it's path to the essential goal of captivating.
Playing with sound combinations from Punk through Jazz to Metal and Grunge, the end result is a theatrical and torrid performance. Lyrically thoughtful and musically rabid, no hype is necessary. Every fan has a different favorite song, proving the band's musical diversity far reaching.
With a refined signature sound, the reviews and press begin w/The L.A. Times 'Tech Times" front page review, Big Smile Magazine show and Cd review, Antioch College newspaper article, Rock City News 2007 Nomination for best Hard Rock Band, and international Cd review from Femmerock Magazine of Italy, plus a few interviews and a documentary. HAiVyN is proud to be well received where ever discovered.
0ver the years, Haivyn is proud to have had the opportunity to perform at events and share stages with headliners : Korn, Zebra Head, Unwritten Law, Mickey Avalon, Alien Ant Farm, Mother Tongue, Shiny Toy Guns, I am Ghost, Green Jelly, Schwayze, & Girl Talk (just to name drop a few). Denise, mesmerizes onlookers with her vocal strength and melodic hooks. Her lyrical style is honest, thoughtful, and fervid. Her combination of grit and lounge makes the crowd hers.
Dave has a unique guitar format of mixing dark alternative rock licks with aggressive yet pop friendly rhythms n' song structure.
Spade on bass, awes the crowd with deep tones and headlining riffs. Spade takes pride for his warm bass lines casting the mood.
Davo Styx.....Pound'n away, Styx leads the groove w/vulgar displays of power.
HAIVYN recently released their 1st full length Cd recorded at D.O.B Studios by engineer Derek 0'brien (of Social Distortion & The Adolescents) and final mastering done by George Radai (currently working w/Robbie Krieger of The Doors). HAIVYN recently recorded 'IN YOUR FACE' in July '09 w/Michael V. Blum & David I of Titan Recording in July 2009.(resume: Madonna, Jakob Dylan, Suicidal Tendencies, Julian Lennon + much more) .
