| About Half-Cut Promotions |
Half-Cut Promotions was formed as a unique collective of even more unique individuals.
We have been running for 3 years now.
We have been commited to putting Huddersfield and Barnsley back on the tour schedules and to creating a safe, friendly enviorment where people can come along with their mates or on their own and still feel welcome and have a good time.
Previous gigs in Huddersfield, have included The Subways, a storming gig by The Paddingtons, (twice!!) Huddersfield’s own mega talented, MERZ, We Are Scientists, iLiKETRAiNS, Towers of London, The Tommys, the aptly-named Duke Special, David Ford and many more nights to try and remember.
Since we launched at Lucorum, in Barnsley, in September 2006 we have had an indie fest of talent- loads of fantastic supports, headliners including : The Paddingtons, The Cooper Temple Clause, Polytechnic, Tiny Dancers, Bromheads Jacket, Rooster, The Sunshine Underground, Kubichek, The Music (amazing !!!) no-one can forget The View ! The Twang, and there were so many great support bands too. Real great indie names to watch out for.
We believe in giving the best to music lovers and thats what we try and do.
Don’t keep going on at us for acts who we haven’t got yet ! It takes times for agents and managers to give new venues a break ok, and we are pushing all the time ! Quite frankly we don’t feel we have done too badly so far !!
A real coo was getting to do the booking for the Peoples Party a big open air concert in Huddersfield in May 2007, we had some great acts, The Dykeenies, The Courteeners, Situationists and The Ordinary Boys headlining. The show was a stormer ! The VIP bash was great too.
We are planning acoustic and more mellow bills in the forthcoming months and these will be in various venues in Huddersfield, more indie gigs will follow too, so keep looking for more info’ on this. Low key gig David Ford being a recent success story at Sleepers.
Half-cut are now working with the Peacock Lounge and Sleepers in Huddersfield, bringing in some quality live acts for your delicacy from Europe and the USA.
