Metallica, Mudvayne, Pantera, A7X, Linkin Park, Dream Theater, Tool, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage....you know what, nevermind the band names. We were pretty much influenced by any band that rocked at any point in time. There!!!
Sounds Like
We can be hard, heavy, and progressive, but still be radio friendly. Some screaming here and there, although we take our vocalization very seriously. Let me put it this way: If you had a huge melting pot, and you threw in thunder, lightning, knives, shovels, bones, a cow, un mangera, an old cassette player, a pair of torn pants that I got at a yard sale, wait.........what was I talking about?
Do you know where Carrizo Springs is? It is sometimes refered to as "nowheresville". What about Big Wells, or Crystal City? Chances are you have never heard of these small Texas towns, but that is exactly where Half Empty is from. A few moons ago, four school mates in a High School marching band decided to pursue their dreams of playing music professionally. Each person took a different path and explored other music genres, and experiences. Years later, these four individuals would rendezvous in San Antonio while meeting an auspicious rocker along the way. This young, dynamic rock band envisions a heavy sound that hangbangers enjoy, yet dare to create passionate melodies that can make people shed tears....with the help of alcohol. Every member brings his own unique style and personality to the band. Diego Alaniz delivers a heavier, and more controlling drive to the music. Carlos Saldaña is more layed back, and soft-spoken, but unleashes his wilder side on stage. On another level, there is Percy Cardona. This three legged freak makes it fun for the band, and fans alike due to his friendly personality. Danny Vargas, the newest member of Half Empty, is a quick study who devotes a great deal of dedication, and style. Singer/Songwriter, Manuel Treviño, contributes a great amount of urgency, and determination to the band through his actions, as well as his voice. Keep your eyes peeled, or this tiny, little garage band from "nowheresville" may just pass you by.
