The Half Moon Jug Band is dedicated to dragging traditional American folk and roots music into the 21st century. They play guitars, banjos and mandolins but they’re no Bluegrass band ‘case they’ve got an electric bass and a drummer, too. They sing traditional tunes and they write their own material. They sound like Woody Guthrie on a bender after he wandered into a Ramones gig at CBGB’s.
greetings from the top half of the state fellas...and thanks for the add! Sorry I havn't found you guys sooner, i've been missin out. this is some GOOD stuff! hope to catch a show soon. Travis
I know the song you're talking about! Doesn't it have "long brown hair and diamond eyes"? I run into Dean every now and then when he comes to do sound at the high school I teach at. He gave me a Jud Band CD. I love it! Totally brillant. The tuna noodle casserole song make me smile and the Westbrook song is a classic. Love to see you guys live. Let me know if you come to Southern Maine or NH.
We will be in Vermont, attempting to get some gigs.
The Winthrop gig was great. Not a huge crowd but very enthusiastic, which always makes the night more enjoyable. How's the fall/winter looking for you guys?
