Half Past 6 was formed in the spring of 2005
in Nashville, TN. They also performed briefly under the name
Impression, but decided with the addition of new
members a new name was also in order.
The name " Half Past 6" refers to where all
of us as Christians are, on our spiritual walk with
Christ. In religious circles, the number 7 was
associated with perfection or heaven, while the
number 6 was associated with sin or evil.
Half Past 6 defines where we are on our walk.
Striving for that perfection, but realizing
we are not there yet.
Through Christ, we know we have salvation,
but much like the hands on a clock we are
ticking away at life, hoping to one day enjoy
that heavenly perfection.
Half past 6 performs a variety of Christian
songs, many of which the group has written; they
also perform well known favorites from groups
such as AVB, Acappella, Take 6, Rockappella,
Impression , 24/7 , and others.
They also have a full set of secular (pop)
songs if your event is more secular in nature.
The members of the group are: Aaron
Johnson (Pegram, TN), Brent Whitworth (Madison,
TN), Jamie Hobgood (Lebanon, TN), Jon Reynolds (Mt. Juliet, TN),
and Ryan Smith (Nashville, TN).
They have also represented groups such as
Impression, 24/7, Watershed, and X-changed.
Half Past 6 is always seeking the opportunity
to sing and entertain.
They believe in the power of music, and think
it is a great way to spread the Christian
message.
