HALF PAST TWO is ready to prove that ska music is alive and kicking in the Orange County music scene.
After working with ska veteran and producer Aaron Barrett (Reel Big Fish) on their debut EP Closet Polar Bear, their
relationship spanned beyond the recording process. In January 2008 Barrett personally invited the band to open for a hometown
Reel Big Fish show at the Anaheim House of Blues. The band was so well received that Barrett extended the offer to open for a
string of California and Nevada dates in March 2008. Since then Half Past Two has received a 2008 Orange County Music Awards
nomination for Best Alternative Band, airplay on radio stations KROQ, UCLA Radio, KUCI, and even UK based Leeds Student
Radio, embarked on a tour of California with Norway's No Torso (Asian Man Records), and opened for such national and
international acts as The Aquabats, The English Beat, Rx Bandits, Tippa Irie, Royal Crown Revue, The Toasters, and Bad Manners at venues
including The Grove of Anaheim, The Glass House, The Knitting Factory, and the House of Blues. Half Past Two has also
created and developed a free monthly ska show in Orange County, JavaSka Fridays, in order to grow further support for the
scene and other local bands. The band re-entered the studio in November 2008 for the full-length album: It's About Time, with
Aaron Barrett once again producing.
We look forward to seeing you front row at the next show!

Damn, I was hoping you didn't see me roll up the poster. I know how hard it was for you to get a good one from the middle. Don't be mad, but how else was I supposed to dance? I was already carrying a heavy purse. You can relax though, it's still minty & ready for framing. Thanks again!
