Do you remember that first concert? That first one when the universe just really clicked, and you could make sense of it all for the first time?
My first was the Ramones' last tour. I didn't really know what I was in for, only having been to one show 5 or 6 years before. The agony, the people, the hot skinhead girl I hooked up with after the show.
If I think about that night, immerse myself in it, my ears start to ring, my vision gets a bit blury because my glasses got crushed in the circle pit. My eye is piffy, my head throbs, and my ankle is in agony.
We danced/jumped/moshed for a solid hour at full force. A circle pit ensued. I wound up a few feet away from the stage, and every note of CJ's bass was like a jackhammer in my chest cavity.
That was the first real night of my life.

Economies of Focus: How Little Guys Compete in Big Spaces
My business partner, Daniel Lieberman, spoke about BitPusher at Google last week.
Google Tech Talks
August 2, 2007
ABSTRACT
BitPusher is a small company that provides outsourced web operations and hosting for customer web applications. CEO Daniel Lieberman will discuss the philosophies, techniques and compromises that allow a very small team to deploy new, diverse applications rapidly while keeping their ops environment manageable. In particular, Daniel will describe how BitPusher achieves economies of scale in a diverse environment by choosing their focus areas carefully, making BitPusher efficient enough to complete with big IT consultancies and the services arms of telecom companies. Discussion: which of these "economies of focus" still apply at Google scale?

The only show we have in May is a house party in Oly on the 17th. We've slowed down a bit with one of our guitarists in Costa Rica. Let me know if you can make it out.
Soon man!!!! we are working on another record that is once again taking way way way to long to record. Soon though we will be back to watch you barf in the parking lot :-/
Awesome to see you Michael. Good times as always, we need to get sloppy again with you up in Seattle soon, so you can give us the tour of all the caged monkeys around town! What was the name of the author you said to check out....I can't fucking remember. Say hi to your wife & daughter...we need to get the kids together to rage at some point.
It was so great to see you! You look fantastic! Your place is awesome and your family is beautiful!
I'm sorry I didn't get more of a chance to relax & talk to you. That was a big trip for me & Evan (maybe when she's a bit older!) But it was wonderful to see you & place. I'm so proud of you. I always see you like when I left -- 12 years old! But you have grown into such a sucessful, intellegent, and beautiful person. I'm lucky to have you as my brother! Love, Heather
I think that little Kaylee is sad that she does not have an updated photospread on your MySpace! (She is just too cute for people not see her!) I know how hard it must be with a little one, all of my friends are having babies and it is a lot of work!
Congratulations to my little brother on the new addition to the family! Have fun...time is REALLY going to fly for you now! Welcome to the proud parent club. Can't wait to see the photos unfold! Love, Heather
Thank you for all the gifts. Evan loves to shake the maracas all over the house & jump up & down & scream at the same time. She also enjoyed opening grandpa's gift for him. But her favorite is the box that the slippers came in...she has found oh so many uses for that! Happy Holidays, Michael..
Love, Heather
