About me:
The London Short Film Festival, the city’s most expansive and radically explosive film festival, returned to the city for its 7th edition over ten days and ten major London venues in January 2010.
..
With over 200 short films, LSFF’s programme is exclusively with the work of Britain’s most exciting up-and-coming filmmakers. For ten days the country’s most fiercely independent and creative saw their work grace the screens of the capital’s most prestigious cinemas, from the festival’s home of the ICA to newcomer Shortwave Cinema. With nights of ‘Lo Budget Mayhem’ and ‘Midnight Movies’, the festival has a history of sneaking renegades and eccentrics onto the city’s film scene.
..
This year the festival reached from the city’s heart, Curzon Soho, to Rich Mix and Vibe Live in the East End and Cinephilia West and the Lexi on the Western Front. South of the river, Roxy Bar and Screen hosted LSFF screenings for the first time while we pushed back the Northern borders for a special event at the Roundhouse.

History
..
In 2003 Philip Ilson and Kate Taylor organised the first Halloween Short Film Festival at the ICA. This was formed as a continuation of The Halloween Short Film Club which Philip had been programming since 1994. In 2008 the festival became the London Short Film Festival and has been growing year on year to take in more films, live music, industry and training and diverse, high quality venues.
