Halo of Pendor was born in the Spring of 2006. Having grown tired of spending all of his musical life in rehearsal studies and on the road with various bands, Daniel thought it was high time to make something of his own creativity. Halo of Pendor was created as a sort of sanctuary for his long pent up musical ideas.
Daniel Öhman was born in 1981 in Kalmar, a city in the south east of Sweden. He had the good fortune to be raised in a family with an active interest in culture. Both of his parents spent their youth working as artists in circuses all over Europe and his father went on to become the owner of a stationary circus in Sweden where Daniel the majority of his childhood. Daniel himself entered the circus ring together with my father at the tender age of eight and it was this first contact with an audience and the atmosphere that was created by performing that has enchanted him ever since.
Over the years, Daniel started playing in different punk/hardcore projects and along with the music came an enthusiasm for politics and in particular an interest in animal rights. He admits that he became an angry political hardcore vegan and eventually told his father that he could never work in a circus again: A decision that he regrets to this day.
At the age of 19, Daniel left his family and friends in Kalmar and moved to Gothenburg to take his interest in music more seriously. Since then he’s been extremely busy working in music studios as a producer and engineer, studying music production, teaching the guitar to children, teaching music to the mentally disabled and of course creating and performing music.
Daniel currently works as a student assistant during the week and assists a disabled 12 year old boy during the weekends. While he’s working he uses the time to make up poetry and melodies in his head and these eventually result in new Halo of Pendor songs. As if all of this wasn’t enough and in addition to Halo Of Pendor, Daniel still plays in three different bands that are all busy performing and touring.

Please, feel free to add me as your friend, BUT It would be nice if you spend a few extra minutes writing me something. I mostly talk to my friends... I don't just store them at my Myspace friend list.
Please, don't bother in making advertising at my page. I don't bother making advertising at your page.
hello daniel, I'm from Chile (South America), I love your music, and some groups still yours, as EF, you're a great inspiration, luck and a lot of strength, bye :)
Hello! We recently opened a Big Cartel webstore to make orders easier. Low shipping prices : 1,50 euro per item for Belgium and 3 euro per item anywhere else!
Hi Daniel. I'm glad you like my work, you're very kind. :)
I'll wait for your releases, in particular I'm very interested about the cassette tape release. And sure I'll wait also for the full lenght; furthermore some of my friends are interested about it.
Hello Daniel and thanks for accepting. I first listened to your project Halo of Pendor some months ago, and I loved it immediately :D Your music is magic. God bless LastFM. After this, I thought that saying something about your music and helping it to come at more ears could be a nice thing to do, so I made a little review of your album on my little italian blog (here's the blog; it's only in italian, sorry, but if you want I can translate the post about your work), where I try to share some projects that deserve to be listened, posting also some links where people could buy the stuff. Note: all the music that I (and my friends) suggest on my blog is free streamable or free downloadable, I don't like people who rip the CDs. The problem is that I couldn't find a site where is possible to buy your work, so I'm here to ask you an hand :D (I myself am interested to buy your cd. And I just ordered last When We Fall work, that's fantastic :D) I hope you like the little work that I do, but if you think it's better I remove the post about your project, just tell me. I hope we will hear soon. P.S.: compliments.
hey dani, hope everything is good and you enjoy the time at home! I saw the really nice pictures of you and understand that you won't go on tour in september. Wish you all the best and hope to see you soon in Innsbruck, Hannes
Oh, that's very exciting! Yes, you're right. That's better than touring and losing money. But too bad I won't see you then :( Hope you are well! Love danielaura pictures I'm great, 2 days left here, and all is love (you know what it's like ;)) Warm hugs, also for Laura Puss.
