What influences us the most are our ears, and the way humans perceive audio stimulus as music.
Our physical body perceives music at present as a form of enjoyment projecting it as visual feedback and colourful images to our brain. However this will change in the future, since we will be able to adapt directly to our senses ; directly to what we are. And this will be the day music will die. In the meantime we can enjoy music in our current state of evolution.

Pelinpala and Outolintu first released on the Fusion vs Confusion compilation in 1999. The Project/Haltya 12, released in 2000, received very good feedback and club plays from, among others, Annie Nightingale at BBC Radio One. After that followed two albums, Forest Flavor and Electric Help Elves.
Haltya was a joint venture of PeLinPaLa (Tommi Sirki..) and Outolintu (J..rgen Sachau). The duo started making music together in 1996 although Tommi and Jyrgen had been making music separately before this for many years by their own means. Haltya was originally meant to be a record label. Traces of that idea stayed in the band, as it isn..t a collaboration in the traditional meaning of the word. Most of the Haltya tunes are composed and produced by either one of the members or together not including their own solo adventures as PeLinPaLa and Outolintu . They both have very different backgrounds in music as Tommi has a long history of studies in classical instruments, rock and jazz music & theory and musictechnology whereas Outolintu is a self tought musician who felt the groove and evolved by experimenting with music by his own.
These two producers anyway connected in a musical way as they both had a habit of experimenting with electronic music equipment. They were looking for the freakiest sounds that could come out of those machines of the new electronic music industry. When they got the synths to sing the weirdest tones they both knew that only a couple of those sounds would just not be enough for one tune! The result is seriously booty shaking funky forest music with sparkles on top, the trademark of Haltya. Their musical style takes influences from jazz, funk, trance, house, drum n.. bass and all sorts of other musical directions. Some call it acid disco, acid funk or psy-funk.
Haltya released their first record on Exogenic Records in 1999 in the form of Project Haltya EP. Their debut album Forest Flavor, which came out in 2000 was highly acclaimed by the psychedelic music lovers around the world. In late 2003
they released the single Hero, which made way for the following album Electric Help Elves, released 2004. In 2005 Outolintu left the project in the caring hands of Pelinpala so he could concentrate on his solo projects.
Today Haltya is considered to be one of the leading originals in psychedelic music and the Suomi sound. The sound of Haltya has been heard in various parties in countries around the world during their live gigs and dj sets.
Tommi is involved in the progressive trance project Highpersonic Whomen together with Markku Louhio from Kiwa. Tommi and Markku are also producing breakbeat influenced Headphonics for Exogenic breaks Records.
As an active producer of electronic music for the past 18 years, Tommi Sirkia has released 8 albums with projects such as Headphonics, Highpersonic Whomen, Haltya, PeLinPaLa and a good number of other published works ever since his first release in 1998. Tommi Sirkia is considered a pioneer of Finnish contemporary electronic music and one of Finlands most internationally experienced electronic music producers/DJ's today. He has performed a great number of gigs around the globe during his carrer and his DJ & Live performances have been heard in countries such as Finland, Russian Federation, Brazil, Israel, Netherlands, Denmark, Turkey, Cuba, Ukraine, Romania, Australia & Japan to name a few.
He has charted 19 tracks within its genres on Beatport top 100 in 2008 and his tracks have been played by many legendary trance, breaks and techno DJ's, many of which have featured a track on their DJ mixes, including John "00" Fleming for Ministry of Sound Recordings "Euphoria" compilation. Within the last 10 years, after his first international realeases, he has shared the stage with many wellknown mainstay acts & Dj's world wide.
Tommi Sirkia has released his works on various compilations from international labels including Ministry Of Sound Records, Simon Posford's Twisted Records, legendary Finnish Exogenic Music Group, Novatekk, Bombtraxx, Com.pact records, MPDQX label group, Digital Structures, Cymbidium, U.S.T.A & Millenium among others.
His remixes include Tommi H's "kaikki tai ei mitaan" Headphonics RMX which topped the number 1 spot twice on Finland's only major electronic music radio station Basso's peoples choice chart in 2007. Other works worth noticing include a remake for African Bambaataa's "Planet Rock", also charting the top 10 on basso radio for many weeks in a row.
Tommi Sirkia is one of the original producers for the project Highpersonic Whomen. Their debut album Alternative Energy source was claimed by some critics to be the progressive psy-trance album of the year 2002. The follow up album released june 2007 "Push the Limit" got an outstanding 5/5 stars in DJ MAG by support of none other than DJ John "00" Fleming.
Tommi's interest for music and various types of musical instruments inspired him to study music and music production in the Conservatoire of Pop & Jazz music of Helsinki, Finland. Born to a musician family, Tommi Sirkia grew up with music travelling the world with his father who is a classical opera singer. His Family also settled down for 7 years in Germany during Tommi's childhood, because of his father's residency at a opera house in Dortmund. This is where Tommi first got in touch with electronic music as it was getting very popular in Germany at that time due to acid house and Techno. As a multi-instrumentalist Tommi masters several instruments, such as: piano, drums, guitar, bass, vibraphone among others. Playing and producing various musical genres from jazz to rock, techno to electro, and experimenting in the electronic fields of music has expanded his knowledge for music which is to be heard in his projects.
Although Tommi had been DJ:ing in parties since the year -94 he never really considered himself a DJ until some party promoters wanted to hear his talents on the decks with such enthusiasm that he decided to take up the challenge for real.
The Musical style of Tommi Sirkia has varied a lot during the years. What Tommi defines to be a peak moment in his DJ carrer was the production work in Highpersonic Whomen, because the release of the debut album allowed Tommi to play abroad and feel the dancefloor vibes in different countries. After this his musical style of Dj:ing for the dancefloors totally changed and is nowadays in the style of progressive, minimal, techno, electro, breaks including a minor pinch of house. However first and foremost Tommi is a true music freak and therefore respects all kinds of musical styles in all genres.
Tommi Sirkia is a recident DJ and founding member of Planetaria Club & Kuuloke Club who host regular nights at Helsinki's rosegarden.
