My first experience with synthesizers was in middle school. As part of a unique music class I was introduced to the DX-7, and was mesmerized by it.
In that class we learned to play keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, and a little drumset, but the instrument I studied the most at that time was the bass guitar (my first instrument was actually the trumpet, but I was not that into it). The first electronic record I recall having was Kraftwerk's Autobahn, which I was listening to in 1985 or 1986. Shortly after I was introduced to New Order and Depeche Mode. I frequented underage dance clubs at this time. About 1991 or 92 I went to my first rave. Did that for awhile until I discovered hand drumming in about 95 or so. My musical tastes at this time were wide and varied but always included some form of electronic music. In about 1997 or 1998 psychedelic trance and goa were brought to my attention (I had listened to alot of early trance already) and I was amazed how far trance had come. About this time I started jamming with a group of musicians on a regular basis. A few years later those jam sessions turned into the musical group known as Los Brown Spots. I played congas, bongos and timbales for Los Brown Spots till 2007 when we entered our current state of being on hiatus. In about 2006 I was reintroduced to psy and goa trance and was blown away even more by the ever evolving complexity of this form of musical expression. Inspired by the new pioneers of trance like Yahel, Hujaboy, or Talamasca (to name a few) came my calling to create trance music. I am also working on a solo percussion album where all instruments are played by me. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

South African Corona, whose second album is getting ready to be launched on Solar Tech very soon, and his compatriot Chabunk teamed for a Sunset Safari. As this term implies, it is an beautiful but also an adventurous tour that awaits the listeners. On the contrary of cheesy standard melodies, these varied tracks put the idea of Trance in a nutshell and distinguish themselves by forcing power and deepness. While most of them represent the creativity of South Africa, also material from Brazil, Chile, the UK and Germany is included.

LaFinKa ONG is mainlly an association that helps homeless people (specially families) in Barcelona.
We organize events almost every week here in Barcelona, and once a month we organize a big multicultural events where we usually bring some international Dj's from diffrent places and mix them with local collectives. That can be in Barcelona, London, Rome or Lisbon.
Our aim is to create stonger networks and build platformes for the artists to showcase their work across the world. We try to work with as many artists and musicians as possible and integrate new peple to the scene whenever possible.
Our events are also a mix of diffrent arts and music styles in one place, and we use these events manelly to raise founds for diffrent social and cultural projects.
We usually have Psy, Trance, Teckno, D&B and other alternative music and live acts in our events. We aim to create spaces for people to come and be able to see and ear diffent styles of music and arts spread around diffrent spaces therefore having more people being introduced to other sounds and arts that they may not be familiar with.
LaFinKa is always looking to work with new artists as well as new volunteers to help with our projects.
