It used to be humour, writing and the media but now that I have decided to make a living out of it may as well be accounting, superannuation and finance!
Music
Totally eclectic.
Movies
Early Woody Allen, Cheech and Chong, Marx Bros, Abbott and Costello, Flying High, Kentucky Fried Movie...in fact there's too many to list
Television
Arrested Development is the best sitcom in a long time. Yes! Its better than Seinfeld. MASH also gets a special mention.
Books
Woody Allen's Complete Prose. Read that and nothing else will seem funny again.
Heroes
Anyone that carves out a living by trying to bring cheer to other people. Its most often a struggle that goes unrewarded.
About me: Publishing a humour magazine is no laughing matter, especially when you don't know what you're doing!
Follow my daily struggles and collectively we may dicover once and for all why there no one else has tried this venture before.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone and everyone with a sense of humour. Type of humour is not important as long as you can laugh at whatever tickles your fancy.
We don't care if you live in another state, cause theres no better reason for a road trip with you mates then to come to the comedy fest!! Anyhew, hope to see you at the ALL NEW Shambles Live in April (tiks just went on sale - there is a link below) - it'll be a heap of fun - and IT'S STARTED SO be sure to prebook so you're guaranteed a seat. The world's largest short film competition comes to Sydney! The Sydney segment of the internationally acclaimed 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT will be run from the Blue Mountains as a part of this year's Footbeat Festival. The weekend of 10-12 October promises to be a wild and sleepless weekend for the teams who are challenged to make a movie or music clip, to write, shoot and edit it in just 48 hours.
Filmmakers throughout NSW, including Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Lithgow, Bathurst and the Blue Mountains are invited to compete in the world's oldest and largest timed-film competition. The 48HFP takes place annually in over 70 cities around the world competing to win the title of Best 48 Hour Film of 2008.
The 48HFP can help launch a filmmaking career. 'Myles West', last year's winner in Brisbane, went on to win a swag of awards at the international competition in America, competing against the winners from 50 other cities. It was then screened in the Short Film Corner at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. For more information please contact:
