I love my family, my bestest friend ever (big wet sloppy kisses to my Christine!), my job, my menagerie that includes a dog, a cat, a rat, a snake (thanks, Ken!) and half a bazillion fancy guppies. I amuse myself with the internet, karaoke, books, playing with my kids, and gossip. I enjoy playing my drum, a doumbek, as well, although I rarely get the chance due to my offbeat hours (no pun intended!). I love romantic gestures, being told I'm beautiful or sexy, or both, and being worshipped. Time with my kids is at a premium, and I appreciate and enjoy it a lot more than I did when I was a SAHM, like Library Day and a goodly bounce on the trampoline. However, I also thrive when I'm all alone. I like time when I don't have to worry about how I look or how I act. I like my time when I can do whatever I want, whether it's watching shows that nobody else likes on t.v. or reading a book. I like sleeping on the couch when I'm all alone. I like making myself be a better human being. And I'm a touch self-absorbed with subtle hints of OCD. Can ya tell? LOL!

Movies
I like movies that make my mind twist. I like good horror/thriller/slasher movies. I like comedies. I like supremely bad gory movies.
Television
I don't watch much t.v., but when I do, I can be caught watching:
Game shows of all kinds Quantum Leap reruns Roseanne reruns House ER Grey's Anatomy Family Guy The Oblongs American Dad Futurama
Books
John Saul Stephen King Dean Koontz (who is changing his style in an amusing way lately) Robin Cook
I'm a sucker for all the good ol' classics, but John Steinbeck was a god, and anything he's written that I've encountered has been worth reading over and over again
My absolute favorite books fall into a category all their own - the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel, all except the last book, Shelters of Stone, which was, in my opinion, the most lazily written book I've EVER seen.
Heroes
Mercedes Alex Corey Grandma Janie Buddha Anyone who is able to see that change is needed, and takes the steps to make those changes really HAPPEN.
Sister to three sisters, two of them girls that will soon be adults, and all of whom I know not enough about.
Daughter to divorced parents, including a fantastically creative mother, a father who believes it will always be his job to teach, and a smattering of stepfathers, one current, the other two not.
Cousin to a host of cousins, the one I'm closest to in spirit I'm unfortunately furthest away from in geography.
Employee to the local hospital, where I spend my 10-hour shifts in my career as a phlebotomist, obtaining blood and getting either cursed or thanked, depending on how well the patient was sleeping and how painless I manage to make the procedure.
