Update 3-30-08 Last Nite I got to play a gig with my Son.... he has been playing Bass guitar for about a year now...... and played his first gig with SEMI 7 ..... what started out as him doing a few songs that he planned on playing with us turned into him playing Sound check and the first half of the night with us .....he played songs with us with no rehersal or practice or knowladge for that matter of the tunes...... Scotty G told him the changes we were on our way...... he Rocked loke a Pro!!!!! I'm proud of you Buddy...... you can jam with the band anytime.....

update 8-24-07 .... Last weekend I played at the Cheeseburger in Caseville Festval in Caseville Mi with the Caribbean Blue Band. I had a great time Friday we played at the Ampitheater 5:30 -7:15 it was the early show so the crowd wasn't huge but grew as the sounds of trop-rock filled the air. it was also web cast on Michigan live events .com..... hopefully we will be able to get copys of the performance..... Saturday was over at the Port Elizebeth Marina.... rocking out 4 sets of music with behind the drum Kit and getting the crowd dancing to In-A-Gadda-Da-Phunky-Cam Medely.....and my Friends Jerry Gontang and Matt Wahl were in the crowd checking out the show....Thanks Guys .......good times

Summer Aug 07................ I've been doing many shows this summer with Guitarist Adam Allen and Bassist Wayne Barricks, playing music from the past 40 years or so..... it has been alot of fun and an honor playing with these guys, Both haveing so much experiance in music. Adam was a touring member of the band BADFINGER in the 80's..... and Wayne a Touring member of RARE EARTH I'm looking forward to many more gigs in the future with these guys ...... come check it out if you can....... there is some great music being played.......

update 2-07...Well the past year has been fun with Semi 7 and we have now called it a time well had...... so that means we all move on to other things...... and puts me in the position of finding a new gig...... I have done many fill in gigs over the years...... and I am hoping that some of those connections will lead me into a new project....for now stay tuned...

I've been Playing drums for a little more than 20 years, Day light savings.....(more than that if you count the "air band" performances to the Monkees, Beatles and AC/DC growing up) and had a varitey of influnces over the years...... I'm still a rocker, But I Love Funk, R&B and Jazz stuff also........

I bet some jazz legends know the TRUTH that Les Paul indeed destroyed the publics genuine interest in bass and drum chops in the late 40's and early 50's with inventing reverb then came distortion. Back then the bass and drums were out front and people came to clubs to see the chops. That is completely factual... The hard truth is that 60 years later us drummers and bassists have been pushed back further and further from the front to the back. Pretty soon this incredibly SUPERFICIAL society will scrape the last of the truely skilled drummers and bassists right off the back of the stage with the help of LAZY technology... I say good riddins Les, and I hope we never see another front man icon like him ever again... Guitar solos are a thing of the past, and in fact the guitar solo itself is very regressive to our musical culture. This hard working drummer wont miss Les at all... Thank you
