The Hammerknockers take country, folk, bluegrass, pop, and blues roots and forge a sound that is distinctively unique to this band. The band features Royce James on mandolin and vocals, Mike Sullivan on percussion and drums, Michael Brown on banjo, vocals, acoustic guitar, Mike Merritt on acoustic guitar, vocals, harmonica, Kevin Sullivan on guitar, lap steel, pedal steel, dobro, and Alan Tompkins on bass.
