Whether you're here on purpose or by accident, welcome to my MySpace page!
My name is Rob and I'm from a small town in Massachusetts named Baldwinville. I live here with my wonderful wife Jen, and our cat Reeses.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, my family, the internet of course, web design, music, movies/tv, landscaping/gardening, and learning about (but not attempting much yet) cooking. I've also recently gotten into some home improvement stuff (carpentry, electrical etc..), and if I don't kill myself doing it I'll continue to pursue it :)
I am a drummer and have been obsessed with them since I was a kid. What you may not be able to tell is that I'm a disabled drummer. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and was determined to take up the instrument no matter what. I'm proud to say I've been jumping over the physical hurdles in the instrument for well over a decade now.
As a result of my frustration and wanting to be inspired and inspire others like myself, I created Handidrummed.com, a website for other disabled drummers. It has been a part of the drumming community since 2005 and has happily been a resource, a source of inspiration, and more successful than I could have ever imagined. In January 2005 we had a little write-up in Modern Drummer Magazine, and my proudest achievement, in March of 2006 I did an interview with Rick Allen of Def Leppard for the website!
Thanks for looking around and feel free to leave some comments! I look forward to meeting new people and making new friends whenever possible.
I also play bass as well. I got out of it for a while due to problems with my hands, but I'm back doing it and vowing never to quit again (because I always wind up coming back anyway and it's getting expensive to have to keep buying all new stuff every time!) :)
Who I'd like to meet:
I'm always looking to make and meet new friends from my area.
Musically, I'm currently looking for guitarists and bassists to jam with regularly, who are committed to making music and who would like to gig out in the future.
As for just random organized list of people, I'd like to meet:
Drummers & Musicians:
All the drummers and musicians who inspire me.
TV & Movies:
Alton Brown of Good Eats, Sam & Dean from Supernatural, the casts of Lost and Heroes, Kiefer Sutherland from 24, and Michael and Lincoln from Prison Break.
Comedians:
Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham, Brian Regan, and Lewis Black.
So...yet again, I can't watch the video you sent me. I'm stuck at work with several officers standing over me. Perhaps once 1 or 2 am rolls around lol.... BLAH.
I spent hours putting together a shed for my brother. You would not believe the amount pf pieces and screws! We did not even finish, it still needs roof panels.
