I am a participant in the Transform Columbus Day activities (there's nothing like being hand-cuffed to your best friend to make you really dig your heels in about an issue) and volunteer with the Native Inmates group at our local Fed. prison. Was at one time an ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) foster mom and create a lot of flyers to help promote local NDN organizations.
Even tho I am mixed blood Anishinaabe, I go to Lakota sweats (cuz there just aren't too many Naabe's around these parts) and am hunka'd into a Lakota family from Pine Ridge.
