About me:
Volunteer Mobile strives to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems.
Volunteer Mobile’s role in the community is centered on our ability to:
• Connect people with the opportunity to serve
• Build the capacity for effective local volunteering
• Promote volunteering
• Participate in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers
Volunteer Mobile was established in 1975 by the Junior League of Mobile and the Community Chest and Council.
Volunteer Mobile is affiliated with Hands On Network which is generated by The Points of Light Institute. We were recognized by the U.S. State Department as an exemplary program in Disaster Volunteer Coordination.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who wants to Be The Change! Volunteers, people interested in volunteering, civic engagement, and bettering the communities in South Alabama. AmeriCorps VISTA, NCCC, ERT members-past, current, future! Volunteer centers, other Hands On Network & Points of Light Foundation Affiliates. Do-gooders and be-gooders, the anti-apathetic, those who can be and do and move it and shake it up!
