Z Major, Z-Dur, ist keine neue Tonart, in der unsere Songs geschrieben sind. Auch keine neue Musikrichtung oder kein neuer Stil, den wir mit HANGMÄN’S NOOZE erfunden hätten. Zmaj ist ganz einfach das Gefühl, die Freude an der Sache, die uns bei jedem Zusammentreffen packt. Power, Enthusiasmus und jede Menge Spaß am gemeinsamen Abrocken.
Das ist Zmaj. Und was dabei herauskommt, ist Folgendes: Handgemachter Heavy Sleaze Rock, ganz im Sinne der glorreichen 80ies. Als ob man den Sunset Strip nach Seattle verlegt hätte. Für das alles steht HANGMÄN’S NOOZE. Und für eine ganze Portion Rock’n’Roll!
Die Leute hinter der Band sind ANDY PICHLER (Vocals), ZOLTAN DARABAN (Guitars), JOEY ROXX (Bass) und HANS GEBHARDT (Drums), die man alle schon aus diversen anderen Bands kennt. Zusammengefunden haben wir in den ersten Tagen von 2008, wir haben gerade unsere ersten Shows hinter uns und blicken in eine konzert- und ereignisreiche Zukunft.
Nun gilt es, Zmaj auch an euch weiterzugeben. Lasst euch von diesem faszinierenden, packenden Gefühl anstecken! Weil das schwer in Worte zu fassen ist, überzeugt euch davon am besten irgendwo on the road.

Z major isn’t a new scale for our songs. It’s neither a new music genre nor a new style we’d like to invent with HANGMÄN’S NOOZE. Zmaj is simply the feeling we get, the delight in what we’re doin’, everytime we meet. Power, enthusiasm and a whole lot of fun rockin’ together.
That’s what Zmaj means. And this is the result of it all: Handmade Heavy Sleaze Rock, all in the sense of the glorious 80ies. As if someone had switched the Sunset Strip to Seattle. For all this HANGMÄN’S NOOZE stands for. And for a full load of Rock’n’Roll!
The guyz behind the band are ANDY PICHLER (Vocals), ZOLTAN DARABAN (Guitars), JOEY ROXX (Bass) and HANS GEBHARDT (Drums), all known from many other bands. We got together in the first days of the year 2008, just played our first shows and now are heading into a great future full of live gigz and happenings.
Now it’s about to bring Zmaj to you. Get captured by this fascinating feeling! As it is hard to write it down, you better check us out somewhere on the road.

Αληθινός άνθρωπος / ορχήστρα, ο 30χρονος Yoav – Εβραϊκής καταγωγής, μεγαλωμένος στο Cape Town της Νότιας Αφρικής και με έδρα, τα τελευταία χρόνια, τη Βρετανία – ξεκίνησε να ασχολείται με τη μουσική από πολύ μικρή ηλικία. Από την πρώιμη κλασσική παιδεία που του προσέδωσε η οικογένειά του (η μητέρα του είναι τραγουδίστρια της όπερας) μέχρι να φτάσει να θεωρείται σήμερα ως ο “πρώτος dance / folk / techno / pop τραγουδοποιός, ο Yoav διέγραψε μια πορεία η οποία χαρακτηρίζεται από ποικίλες, συχνά ετερόκλητες, επιρροές και μετακινήσεις από τη μία “μουσική πρωτεύουσα” στην άλλη, σε αναζήτηση της πολυπόθητης επιτυχίας.
