...... HANGMAN was formed in April 2007, which brought in the beginning of a new era of Thai contemporary music... Upon the release of the band’s new album, the uniqueness and the great impact of HANGMAN distinctively became the Music Renaissance on Thailand’s rock history... In April 2007, after Silly Fools had split, Toe (the ex-vocalist of Silly Fools and the upfront pioneer & creator of the Thai contemporary rock music during the last decade) began forming his new band... The beginning of a new rock band that was about to invite audiences to this new great music, started from a nation-wide audition of professional musicians to become a member of HANGMAN. The news spread faster than the wind. And once the cat was out of the hat, skilled musicians, those who have, and always will have a magnetic infatuation with Toe’s very own unique music, lyrics, and melody created under the Silly Fools, were gravitated to at least give themselves a try. The race was on like a rush of sensation that was almost contagious. Their one and final goal as a musician was unanimously, to be a part of their idol’s greatness... It was a one-on-one music battle, so to say. And it was worth the fight because Rock was about to be reborn, possibly with them as a part of it... HANGMAN found its first member, starting from the Bassist, Kear. Kear was introduced to Toe through Mr. Simon Henderson, (Toe’s most trusted rock producer working for him since Silly Fools) At the time, Kear was a studio musician and a co-producer with Mr. Simon for artists under GMM Grammy label. As a part of HANGMAN, Kear was also included in the process of finding his new band members... Not long after, the band’s first guitarist, Kay, came to a meeting with Toe. Kay was a Producer / Song Writer and one of the members of a band called Tranzizter, under GMM Grammy label. A year ago, he was invited to a TV Show called ‘Malangman’ hosted by Toe, to play live with his band at that time. He left a very good impression. So, Toe invited him to join HANGMAN. “After the first meeting, I decided that he was the one. So, he got to join us right on the spot!!” (Toe).. Zabb (Drummer) was the next member who joined HANGMAN, introduced through Kay. After auditioning with other qualified drummers all over Thailand, Zabb outdid them all and it was clear he was more than ready to finally make a breakthrough in his musical career... The last member joining the band was Jack (Guitar) who, at the time, worked as a musician in a pub. He was scouted and proposed to come to Toe’s audition. Jack’s capacity could shine through the fierceful audition with guitarists from all over the country and, as if destined, he became the last member of HANGMAN... After being able to find all members with incomparable music skills for the brand new HANGMAN, they all started recording for their debut album in July 2007. Toe composed all the songs in the album, except ‘Pleng See Dum’ which Kay composed the melody. Mr. Simon came to join the band as the Producer and then the rest is history!.. HANGMAN – The Change We Want to See in the World!.. The debut album of HANGMAN is also named ‘Hangman’. It was released on October 9, 2007 and was the most eagerly awaited album of Toe’s loyal fans. Music fans were eagerly waiting for a new change on the face of the music industry, from the monotony and repetitions of the same melodies and lyrics. The album was the change they were pleading for... And finally, the end of the wait, the challenge to Toe’s new team, and the next page of Thailand’s music history arrived. The first Title Track was ‘Chocolate’, introducing the so called ‘new band’ that combines the most ironic element of undisputed masterly skills and most powerful sound in the industry... Then came the single ‘Payayam Kee Krang Kor Tam Thae’ that reflects the signature style of Toe’s inimitable talent of love songs and following with ‘Rak Ter Hua Tim Bor’... HANGMAN started its cross-country tours and was instantly labeled as the rock band with unmatchable live performance. Audiences were never disappointed with band members’ unique stage charisma that only an eyewitness would know the true definition of ‘an entertainer’. Soon enough, they were also known for their perfect sound on stage, which is almost undistinguishable from the sound on their CD... HANGMAN set off to be the best band to fuel up the crowd and rumor has it that; ‘When Hangman finishes, no other band would dare go up on the stage ‘coz the crowd would have definitely wasted all their energy and could jump no more!’.. HANGMAN offers an exceptional vocal power (that ‘You can close your eyes but still know it’s Toe’s voice’ (Words from Fans)), quality music, distinctive band charisma, and inspiring signature lyrics. These combinations of quality bagged in concerts for HANGMAN throughout the year, both locally and internationally. Currently, the band has touring plans to many countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia, England and USA..... .... .. live!!
