Money from the sales of the single, is donated to support troops, and their families, as they serve. Many military families have difficulties that arise in their lives on a daily basis. With low pay, and a systems somettimes slow to respond to their needs, American Military Family, Inc. (a registered 501(c)3 charity), attempts to assist in any way we can. Whether it is something as simple as money for diapers, food, a night out for Mom, or as big as assistance in getting medical benefits desperately needed, we are there. Hank also assists Operation First Response (www.operationfirstresponse.org)another charity, that provides comfort items for wounded servicemembers at Walter Reed Army Hospital, and the National Naval Medical Hospital at Bethesda. Hank has made numerous visits to both hospitals, delivering many needed items, and talkong with as many wounded as he can, each time. "Thank You" is released on Veteran- owned Star Chaser Records- Nashville, co-owned by Hank. Written by songwriter Daniel Smith, recorded by Hank Brake, in memory of Hank's Uncle, Kenneth Slaughter, 4th, 503rd, 173rd Airborne, Special Forces, killed in Vietnam 21 July 1970. This song touches the hearts of all who hear it! "I finally found a way to say "Thank You" to my Uncle for his service to our country. I only wish he was here so I could shake his hand and say it to him personally", says Mr. Brake. "My goal is to have any American who has ever worn the uniform of any of our Armed Forces, past or present, to hear the song and understand just how much we appreciate their duty to country and sacrifices they and their families make while defending our freedoms. I am especially honored to be a part of thanking those who served with my Uncle Ken, in Vietnam." Hank Brake has donated hundreds of hours of time entertaining Americas active duty military and veterans at multiple events across the U.S., including military and veterans hospitals. He has helped raise over a million dollars for the USO, and thousands more for other organizations. He no sits, proudly, on the Board of Directors of American Military Family, Inc. Hank has had the opportunity to sing in numerous "honky tonks" across America. In fact, he's performed in "far too many to name." He's performed at several famous venues such as The Palomino in Los Angeles, California; Gilley's in Houston, Texas; and places closer to his Georgia home like Miss Kitty's in Marietta and Mama's Country Showcase in Atlanta. He also has had the opportunity to be the opening act for many of country's current stars such as Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Little Texas, David Allan Coe, Tracy Byrd, Confederate Railroad, Chris Ledoux, and many others.
