TV is usually just a background noise for me while I'm doing something else, like playing with polymer clay or drawing. I admit it; I watch cartoons. Oh yeah--and reruns of old shows. There isn't much current stuff on now that I'm into, really. Here's a list of stuff I regularly watch. This will probably change periodically:
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends
Still Standing
Spongebob
Little House on the Prairie
MadTV
My Name is Earl
The Jeffersons
Those VH1 specials: I Love the 80s, I Love Toys, etc...
I love to read. Strangely enough, I read a lot of nonfiction, particularly about prehistoric stuff.
Snakes: The Keeper and the Kept by Carl Kauffeld
Snakes and Snake Hunting by Carl Kauffeld
Sea Dragons: Predators of the Prehistoric Oceans by Richard Ellis
The World We Live In (Time Life)
Living Snakes of the World in Color by John M. Mehrtens
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Villette by Charlotte Bronte
Pride and Predjudice by Jane Austen
A Snake Lover's Diary by Barbara Brenner
Beasts of Eden by David Rains Wallace
Seven Peaches by Donna Barr
Crosby, Stills and Nash: The Authorized Biography by Dave Zimmer
The Dinosaur Heresies by Robert Bakker
Raptor Red by Robert Bakker
The Peter Cushing Companion by David Miller
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
The Bone series by Jeff Smith
The Akiko series by Mark Crilley
North American Water Snakes: A Natural History by J. Whitfield Gibbons and Michael Dorcas
The Lost World by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Occupation-wise, I am a librarian at Missouri State University, and have been working here since 1998. I work part of the time in Maps and part in Reference. It's really a pretty cool job, and I'm around books and maps all day (yep, I'm a nerd) so I'm happy.
Hobby/interest-wise, I am a rather eclectic gal. I like reptiles and amphibians (this goes way back to my childhood), I draw and paint, I work with clay, I love the outdoors and I play drums in a garage band.
I collect toys--I am the only person I know that has most of my toys from childhood--from 1/6th scale figures to dinosaurs.
Instead of reading more ramblyness here, you may want to check out my websites. To the left, you can find links to them (making web sites has lately become yet another hobby for me). Those sites contain all sorts of good stuff like samples of my artwork, reviews of toy dinosaur figures, and more.
sending you and yours the warmest wishes this holiday season and always. Hey where have you been??? we had to send this puppy out to look for you in the snow!
All your Springfield friends want to take a moment to wish you a very happy birthday and those of us at Remembering Springfield hope you have many fond memories of this birthday in years to come....do something wild!
