關於我: I am a country boy born in Mt. Olive Alabama and raised as a child in Georgiana, Alabama. When I was 13 years old, we moved to Montgomery Al. I started writing songs when I was young, and started singing and performing them as I grew older. My first radio job was WFSA in Montgomery, AL.
I moved from Montgomery to Shreveport,La.,where I performed on the Louisiana Hayride. I did eary morning radio show on KWKH sponsored by Johnny Fair Syrup. I then moved to Nashville TN. where I became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. I had 11 # one hits and many top 10 hits.
My songs have been recorded by pop artist of that era, some of which include, Toney Bennett, Jo Stafford, Frankie Lane, and Mitch Miller. My songs are still being recorded today 55 years later by major artist.
Today there is a festival held on the 2nd weekend of June in Georgiana, Alabama, in my memory. There also, is my boyhood home that is now a museum, and a Fan Club across the street where folks can become a member of my club and purchase t-shirts,cups, and other souveirs to help keep my memory and songs going.
There is also a Hank Wiliams Muesum in Montgomery, AL. located at 118 Commerce St. where many of my personal belongings are on display. Please visit the Fan Club Site
