Hey~ It's Hannah.
I'm a singer/songwriter & I love to perform.
I have been pursuing my career for the past 7 years, touring around the Upper-Midwest promoting my original music. For the most part we’ve flown solo, my guitar and I; my one, unfailing companion. But I have had the privilege of working with many fantastic musicians over the years, such as The Weekend Cowboy Band, Mark Lucier, Paul Smith, Ray Bosley, Todd Brassard, Alex Geborkoff & PJ Olsson to name a few.
In 2007 I released my first solo album called “Watch Me Fly”, which is available for purchase and download internationally through iTunes, cdbaby.com, amazon.com. The CD is available at several music stores & businesses in Michigan & Wisconsin.
For as long as I can remember, music has always been my everything; my dreams, goals and purpose. Nothing feels quite as right as music. I spent my early childhood in dance and musical theatre. I knew so soon that I needed to be on stage. It called to me with a fiery passion that to this day I cannot quite explain. The closest I can get is that I suppose some people just know what they want; what they need to find completion, and there can be no persuasion. I feel so fortunate to be one of those people.
When I was 13, I started to learn guitar and within a week had written my first song, “Watch Me Fly”. It fell out of me so quickly, it was as if it had been meaning to come out for a long time, but was just waiting for the opportune moment. Everything has snowballed from that moment.
After graduating from high school, I packed my bags and moved to Music City! Nashville, TN.
I'm attending Belmont University as a vocal commercial music major. As a freshman I was voted "Freshman Music Major of the Year"!!
Currently, I am finishing my last semester of my sophomore year. I'm a singer in the country ensemble called "SouthBound" at Belmont. I have learned so much and I'm so grateful for attending Belmont University. It has truely been a highlight in my life.
After this semester I will be pursuing my music career full time! I am so excited and so ready for this.
I've put together a band here in Nashville & I'm planning a small midwest tour to start out with. So, I can't wait to share my music with you!!
I also play out at writers nights and anywhere I can in Nashville as much as possible. I am always writing songs, soon it will be my full time job. YAY!!
I love science fiction novels. I am trying so hard to learn piano but my hands have a hard time keeping up with my brain. I also LOVE espresso but the caffeine dries out my vocal chords, so I must refrain… I LOVE TO SING. I talk to my car when I need a friend. Sometimes I wish I was a faerie. I kiss my guitar good night after a good show. Summer is my favorite season. I love the sting of guitar strings against my fingers tips after hours of practicing. I am not afraid.
