Hannah Marcus is a songwriter from New York City Her upcoming CD, as well as her most recent album "Desert Farmers, "were both recorded in Montreal with members of the group Godsped You Black Emperor and A Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orkestra. Her last two albums, Black Hole Heaven and Desert Farmers, were released on Bar None Records. Black Hole Heaven was recorded in San Francisco by Tim Mooney (of Toiling Midgets and American Music Club) and Joe Goldring (The Enablers).
Her previous CD, Faith Burns, was released by Normal records in Germany and produced by Joe Goldring.
River Of Darkness, her first project, was produced by Mark Kozelek. He also produced her first demos, which were released on Spirit records and Normal records.
She also currently participates in The Wingdale Community Singers with Rick Moody,David Grubbs, Nina Katchedourian and Abe Streep.
