Introducing a versatile artist that transcends today's musical boundaries with songs of longing, hope and a need to express the individual in all of us. Hannah Wolff's material takes the best of the best, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Alanis Morisette and Nancy Wilson and moulds into a fresh and unique style that is delivered with verve and precision.
Originating out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wolff has been hard at work gaining popularity on the road to independent success. She has been busy securing a local and national following, promoting a sophomore album, writing for a new EP and constantly searching for unique sounds to separate her sound from the masses. Hannah Wolff, with her ever-evolving energy and determination, remains firmly on an ambitious journey of capturing the world with her music, and rightfully so. She has written, funded and co-produced two full-length studio albums; the first "Striving Toward Harmony" and the newly released "One Afternoon," featuring Allan Vest of the Starlight Mints (courtesy of Barsuk Records). Both albums were engineered and produced by Trent Bell of Bell Labs in Norman, Oklahoma. Bell (former guitar player for the Chainsaw Kittens) has worked with artists such as the Starlight Mints, the Flaming Lips, Toby Keith, Stardeath and the White Dwarfs, Steve Burns, The Veils, Christina Ricci and many more; Bell's work has also been Grammy-nominated.
Hannah Wolff's following continues to grow. She has been filling local and national venues and plans to tour aggressively and non-stop beginning in the fall of 2008. In addition, Wolff's music has been placed in rotation on various radio and online music stations and the song “Ghost of You” has recently been number one on Independent Artists Company’s Big 50 chart (iacmusic.com) and is currently in the running for song of the year. Furthermore, Wolff released a high def music video of the song on November 3rd, 2007; directed by Drake Mateny and Devin Winter of Left of Center Productions.
Combined with poetic and sensual lyrics, wispy, powerful vocals and unusually haunting music, the live presence of this artist is a necessary and moving experience for the audience. This talented performer has a rare ability to capture the attention of listeners and to mesmerize audiences into submission.
Wolff's profound passion for composing and performing truly incomparable music, combined with an extreme level of determination, will ensure a successful, lifelong career as a devoted, reputable artist.
