Hanna Marsh is a singer/songwriter from Helsinki whose talent has also been recognised internationally. With her shining presence, fairytale beauty and suprising fantasypop music, Hanna has professionals and listeners under her spell. Hanna’s voice is exceptionally beautiful and touching. She also composes and writes lyrics to all her songs.
From Jyväskylä to an international artist
Hannas musical story began when a producer from an international record company was lecturing to music students in Jyväskylä. She didnt have a demo with her, so she asked to perform her own song on the piano. The speechless producer invited Hanna to his studio in Helsinki to make a demo the following week. “Ive never heard anybody as talented and emotional as her” the producer said later.
Her debut album “Chameleon Girl” was released in autumn 2006 and now Hannas second album “Play” was released at the end of February 2008. It continues in Hannas personal style; the colourful and eclectic songs will entice you and puzzle you. The album has more of a pop-rock feel to it than its predecessor. One of the place you can here Hanna this spring live is at the Hanna Marsh Club at the Culture Factory Korjaamo., Helsinki Some of Finlands top artists and musicians are coming to visit Hanna.
Stories and inspirations from real life
Hanna is rated as an exceptionally talented and original composer and music maker in professional circles. “My songs often start from a spark of inspiration and they tell stories of lifes small passing moments,” Hanna says. “Nature is often present in my songs, because I feel I get power and inspiration from nature,“ she continues. “Composing is a very replenishing and beautiful experience for me. I hope that, through my songs, I can share these things with my listeners.”
Hanna was participating in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Broken Flower”
Hanna was participating in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest qualification 2008 with her own song “Broken Flower”. The arranger and producer was Lennart Östlund at legendary Polar Studios (Led Zeppelin, Abba, Rolling Stones, U2, Scorpions, Europe, Genesis and many many more).
